Bonnie Rose

Bonnie Rose joined the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority as Chief Executive Officer and Registrar on January 11, 2016. Ms. Rose leads the organization in administering the Retirement Homes Act for the protection and safety of seniors living in Ontario retirement homes. This mandate includes licensing and inspecting; informing and educating the retirement home sector and residents; compliance and enforcement; and, maintaining the Public Register of Ontario retirement homes.

As past President, Standards at CSA Group, Ms. Rose directed the development of standards and other information resources that help improve public safety, facilitate trade, preserve the environment and advance Canadians’ quality of life. Ms. Rose oversaw a portfolio of 3,000 standards and codes that are maintained and continually improved for use by business, industry, regulators and members of the public. To help people and businesses understand and apply standards, she was also responsible for a wide range of Education and Training Programs as well as customized implementation solutions to address different market needs.

Ms. Rose holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and a Chartered Director from The Directors College.
