The RHRA develops information and educational material to assist retirement home operators to better understand and meet the standards in the Act and Regulations. Select any of the links below to access these materials.
It’s important that all licensees know their obligations under the Retirement Homes Act. This includes safeguarding residents’ rights, ensuring Plans of Care are regularly reviewed and updated, how to handle complaints, and taking the necessary steps when ceasing to operate a retirement home. This includes submitting both a transition plan to RHRA and providing residents with notice 120 days prior to ceasing to operate.
